The comment I have to make actually connects this post to the last one on the state of the media.

The PM told a press conference that the Government was "assisting" CA in the purchase and the "journalists" at the press conference didn't seem to have the presence of mind to take him to the ropes on some questions about it right there and then.

Instead, the entire media core let nearly a full 24 hours go by before getting off their "press release churning out" bumsees to do the research required to ask all these important questions. Asking at a distance works better I guess.

Also, the murder carnage continues and we have at least 10-15 minutes of news time dedicated to the "Royals" on every station, in every news cast.

Including montage of graphics, over a music bed of an instrumental version of "God Save The Queen" Sampson Nanton tries to read the Prince's thoughts by looking at his face across the 100 meter distance required by security protocol.
he talks about the Prince's "trademark smile" being broken only by his "look of concern" after watching a documentary about the environment.

really?!

Another report spends some time covering the fact that children were taken out of school and made to line the savannah to wave and cheer and of course ... "get a glimpse of the royal hand".

WHO IS WRITING THIS STUFF?

..that is all
